Performing for a Famous Person *hehehe

Me performing to a celebrity. No other than JOLLIBEE!!! Well, i could say I did a great job performing  coz he was smiling all the time!!! I did a card trick that amazed him so much that he invited me to eat at his place. More so, I hypnotized him so that he won’t be able to move his body… Up to now, he is still hypnotized…The problem there is… I dont know how to bring him back to normal!!!! Poor guy!!!….hehehe….. Just kiddin!!!

How to take care of your Cards

I hope this would be very helpful to a lot of magicians out there who are reading my posts especially those who are XCM’ers and Close-up Magicians.

Opening the Deck

Don’t open it rapidly, do it slowly and delicately as to not damage the box. Treat it like a lady, treat it gently, love your deck. Always keep in mind that the deck you are holding will be the one helping you in bringing out the gasps and laughter from your audiences.

Breaking the Deck

The new deck especially bicycle is very slippery I grealy recommend that before doing flourishes and magic with it, make sure you riffle it in all sides as to condition the whole deck. Riffle each side of the deck at least 4 times and do cuts and shuffles with it for at least 10 times until you get a grip of it. Its like taming a horse.

Making the Deck Last

If you are an aspiring magician, especially if you’re into close-up you gotta be prepared for the financial expenditures in magic specifically in buying new deck of cards. When you are practicing, make sure that you wash your hands first in cold water and with soap as to avoid moisture in getting into your cards when you are sweating. When your hands sweat, wash again. Preparing for a Mentalism performance…

Gaah… Its been a while since I last prepared for a purely mentalism performance. So here are my so called “weapons” in mentalism. One of the best things I got for December

During the Chrismas Party Celebration for the Faculty and Staff of the School where I’m teaching, I was all smile when I got my gift. It was a black bicycle deck. It is listed on my wishlist for December and luckily the teacher who picked my name thought of giving me a card. I was hesistant to open it up but since co teachers asked me to do some card routines with it, I didn’t have any choice. To their dismay, the facade of the cards looks a bit confusing, since they are not used in seeing a gray and black colored deck. Anyway, I had fun doing tricks with it and doing some card manipulations. I’m having doubts if I will seal it for good now as I will put it into a frame together with my Tally Ho Viper Deck which I still didn’t open but I really want to for such a long time.  Oh well…

Its been a while since I made a post since I was busy developing our new aspirant magicians who joined the 12th Summit. I have been finding ways to make their talent worth it by trying out different approaches in teaching the conjuring art of magic. Other than that, I have created a good camarederie with them which is essentially important in influencing them to be better performers.

12th Summit is indeed growing and developing but I am concentrating now on quality rather than quantity. Though even if Mesmerize Magic Circle is my first founded group and is still making the world a happier place through the art of mentalism and bizarre magic, my time for now is concentrated on the 12th Summit which is into close-up magic.
